Cabinet prototypes are here! Our True Replica Cabinets are reverse engineered from my 1968 Marshall speaker cabinets to be identical in every way. In the picture you can see the original cab, stripped of tolex, next to one of the new cabs for comparison. The old cabinet was the guide to be sure every cut, hole, and detail was faitful to the original.

Got the amp today! It sounds great! Very organic and earthy, good dynamics, easy to get a good sound. Perfect for the kind of music I play - blues and blues based rock. Now I just have to figure out how to get the money to get the 45/100 from you guys. There are times when I need more volume than the 45 can deliver, although the 45 will be sufficient for 95% of the gigs I do.

I am very pleased with the amp! It is just what I was looking for!

Plexi Replicas is proud to announce the imminent arrival of ‘68 era Metropoulos True Replica Cabinets. Completed prototypes are expected in December 2009 and we are truly excited about the cabinets and the intense process we used to create such an exact replica. We took original 1968 slant and straight cabs, disassembled them, and micro-metered every piece individually to create full 3D CAD models accurate to .001 inches.

I went to great lengths to exactly reproduce my set of original cabinets. The metal parts were scanned and custom fabricated, all of the little irregularities of the original were measured and perfectly reproduced by CNC, we spared no effort and no expense to make a True Replica Cabinet. New GPM 45 Head Sound Clips

New sound clips are up for the GPM 45 Head. The clips feature a very unique Metropoulos amplifier, the first GPM 45 built, serial 65001 from 2007, which is covered in white tolex. Owner Chris Cali of San Jose, California recorded his amplifier with two Shure Beta 58’s.

Visit the Amplifier Archives section of the web site for pictures of Metropoulos plexi replicas. We are in the process of archiving all of the available photos of our builds and many pictures have already been added.

The pictures are organized by model and serial number. You can browse, for example, the 12000 Series Archives, where you would see this custom colored white beauty, serial number 12051.
